HSAW Pipes
Helical Submerged Arc Welded (HSAW) pipes are a type of welded steel pipe manufactured using the helical submerged arc welding process. This method involves forming the pipe from a coil of steel strip, which is then shaped into a spiral and welded along the seam using submerged arc welding techniques.
HSAW pipes offer several advantages over other types of welded pipes. Their helical construction results in a stronger and more durable pipe with enhanced resistance to external forces such as pressure, bending, and torsion. This makes them well-suited for use in demanding applications, including oil and gas transmission, water supply, construction, and infrastructure projects.
One of the key benefits of HSAW pipes is their ability to accommodate larger diameters and thicker walls, making them ideal for conveying fluids and materials over long distances. Additionally, the submerged arc welding process ensures high-quality welds with minimal defects, resulting in a reliable and leak-proof pipeline.
